Bag
With Ribbon and the larger crochet hook
Ch 26
Rnd 1:
Start in the 2nd ch from the hook, work 24 hdc, (1 hdc in each ch st until there is 1 st
remaining), M1 (2 hdc in the same st) rotate the work so you are now working in the back
loop of the starting ch. Work 1 hdc in the next 23 sts. M1, work 2 hdc in the last st.
Rnds 2-14: 1 hdc in all sts (51)
Secure the D-ring
Rnd 15: On this rnd you will attach the D- ring by crocheting it into place.
1 hdc in the next 6 sts. Place the D-ring behind the piece and work a hdc around it. Repeat 3
times, so you have a total of 3 hdc around the ring.
Work 1 hdc in the next 23 sts. Attach the second D-ring in the same manner with 3 hdc being
worked over the ring.
Work 1 hdc in the next 17 sts. End with a sc, sl st, sl st.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Ears (make 2)
With Ribbon and the larger crochet hook
Ch 6
Rnd 1:
Start in the 2nd ch from the hook. Work 1 sl st in the next 4 sts, 3 hdc in the next st. Rotate
the work without turning it. And work sl st in the next 4 sts.
Rnd 2:
Work 1 sl st in the next 4 sts, sc, M1 (2 sc in the same st), M1 (2 sc in the same st), sc, 1 sl st
in the next 4 sts
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail (approx. 4” / 10cm) for sewing the ears to the bag.
Eyes (make 2)
With Rainbow 8/4 Back and the smaller crochet hook
Start with a magic ring
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the ring (6)
Rnd 2: [M1] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, M1] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4: 1 sc, M1 [2 sc, M1] x 5, 1 sc (24)
Rnd 5: [3 sc, M1] x 6 (30)
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail approx. 4” to sew the eye to the bag.
Eye whites (make 2)
With Rainbow 8/4 White and the smaller crochet hook
Start with a magic ring
Rnd 1: 5 sc in the ring (5)
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Cheeks (make 2)
With Rainbow 8/4 Pink and the smaller crochet hook
Start med at lave en magisk ring
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the ring (6)
Rnd 2: [M1] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, M1] x 6 (18)
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail approx. 4” to sew the cheeks to the bag.
Snout
With Rainbow 8/4 White and the smaller crochet hook
Start with a magic ring
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the ring (6)
Rnd 2: [M1] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: M1, 1 sc, M1, 3 sc, M1, 1 sc, M1, 3 sc.
Rnd 4: 1 sc, M1, 2 sc, M1, 4 sc, M1, 2 sc, M1, 3 sc.
End with a sl st
Embroider a nose on the snout with pink and black yarn.
Assembly
Sew the ears to the top edge of the bag.
Sew the eye whites in place with white sewing thread. Embroider a small x in the bottom left of each eye.
Place the eyes, snout and cheeks on the bag and sew securely.
Shoulder Strap
With Rainbow 8/4 White and the smaller crochet hook
Ch 160 (Tip! If you want a longer strap, just add more ch-sts)
Rnd 1:
Work 1 sc in each st until there is only 1 st remaining. M1, rotate the work so that you are
working into the back of the starting ch and work 1 sc in each st until you have 1 st
remaining. M1.
Change to the turquoise color
Rnd 2:
M1. Work 1 sc in each st until there is only 1 st remaining. M1 x 2. Rotate the work so that
you are working into the back of the starting ch and work 1 sc in each st until you have 1 st
remaining. M1.
End with a sl st.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Sew a snap hook securely to each end.
Then attach the hooks to the D-rings on the bag and you’re done! ☺
