Pattern: Orlova Svetlana (osa2905)

For a toy wallet you will need:

Clasp 8.5cm (for 23 sewn holes);

Cotton thread at the rate of 50gr –125m (150m);

Textured thread type ALIZE marifetli;

Hook size 2.5 (2);

Sewing needle;

Beads for the eyes (or eyes for toys);

Shadows for tinting.

Legend:

ch is chain;

sl-st – slip-stitch;

sc – single crochet;

hdc – half double crochet;

dc – double crochet;

dec – knit 2 columns together;

inc – knit 2 single crochet in one loop;

inc (3) – knit 3 single crochet in one loop;

* – repeat the specified number of times.

The number in brackets at the end of each row of the description indicates how many loops there should be in this row.

The main part of the wallet is 2 pieces.

We will knit by knitting on a “bourdon”, that is, we lay out the textured yarn and knit places without pompoms with a frequency of 2-3 sc, and leave the pompom outside. We will knit in a spiral, it is advisable to mark the beginning of the row with a contrasting thread – for your convenience.

1 row: 2ch, 6 sc in the 2nd loop from the hook (6)

2 row: inc * 6 (12)

3 row: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)

4th row: inc * 2, 4sc, inc * 2, 4sc, inc * 2, 4sc. (24)

5 row: (inc, 2sc, inc, 4sc) * 3 (30)

6 row: inc, 4sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 6sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 5sc (36)

7 row: inc, 6sc, inc, 6sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 8sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 6sc (42)

8 row: inc, 8sc, inc, 7sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 10sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 7sc (48)

9 row: inc, 10sc, inc, 8sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 12sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 8sc (54)

10 row: inc, 12sc, inc, 9sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 14sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 9sc (60)

11 row: inc, 14sc, inc, 10sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 16sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 10sc (66)

12 row: inc, 16sc, inc, 11sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 18sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 11sc (72)

13 row: inc, 18sc, inc, 52sc (74)

In bold, I marked the hinges along which the clasp will be sewn.

We knit the second part in the same way, only in the 13th row we connect both halves for 52 sc.

If it is not convenient for you to combine motifs during the knitting process, then knit two parts separately and sew them with a needle using the same 52 sc.

You can knit without pompons, for example, just velor thread, such as KARTOPU NUBUK, but in two additions – it is thin.

Now we tie the place where the clasp 22sc + 22sc will be sewn.

2sc, inc, 5hdc, 6dc, 5hdc, inc, 2sc = 24 loops – similarly repeat on the other side. According to your desire, you can tie it with a “crib step”.

Now, the most painstaking work is to sew a clasp where we did the strapping of 24 loops.

I sew a seam back with a needle, each hole corresponds to 1 loop, and 1 stitch where there is a transition to the other side. (23 + 1 = 24)

Head:

Mark the beginning of each row with a contrasting thread for convenience. Please note – the beginning of the row will go to the right.

Ears (2 parts)

1 row: 2ch, 6 sc in the 2nd loop from the hook (6)

2 row: (1 sc, inc) * 3 (9)

3 row: (2 sc, inc) * 3 (12)

4 row: (3 sc, inc) * 3 (15)

5-6 row: 15 sc

7 row: (3sc, dec) * 3 (12)

8 row: (2sc, dec) * 3 (9)

9 row: (1sc, dec) * 3 (6)

Sew the ears to the head, folding them in half.

Sew on bead eyes. Embroider a nose and a smile (as in the photo).

To tone the nose and cavities – ears (optional).

Hooves – 4 parts

1 row: 4ch; 1ch; 1inc in the second from the hook loop; 2sc; inc (3); 3sc (10)

2 row: inc * 2; 2sc; inc * 3; 2sc; inc (16)

3-6 row: 16 sc

7 row: dec * 8 (8)

8 row: (2sc, dec) * 2 (6)

9-15 row: 6 sc

Finish knitting, leaving the thread for sewing.

Embroider a jumper with a dark thread at the hoof.

It is possible to sew a name tag.

Now we sew the head in the center and sew the hooves on the sides of the main part. And your original wallet is ready.

You can tie a long chain handle and get an original handbag over your shoulder.
