Amigurumi Backpack Dog Free Crochet Pattern
Both boys and girls can use this backpack. You can easily fit there small toys and other things of your child. Width: 19 cm (7,5 inch). Length from head to toes:
38cm (15 inch). Bag: w20 x h23 (7,9×9 inch). Depending on the yarn and crochet hook the size of the backpack can vary.
Materials:

➢ Safety eyes 16 mm, eyelashes, nose.

Some tips:
1. Every Part will be worked in spiral rounds. Each round will be finished with slst.
2. Use a stitch marker. A little thread (just use a different colour from the main one) can help as well to count the rounds. Place it over the working thread and it will be easy to pull it out.
Bag: *You work in rounds – means that every round starts with 3 CH and finished with 1 slst.

Stuff and crochet ahead with the same thread.
For Eyes and Nose: Between 18th and 19th rows from the start –
find the place for the eyes, points A, B, C, D (leave approx.10 ST
space). For the nose between 7 and 8th row (from the start) is Point
1. For the eyes count from the top, for the nose count from the bottom. Please follow the pictures.
At Point 1 (Nose) insert the needle and go to point A upwards to the eye place.
Go 2 ST to the left, from point A to point B. Insert the needle into
Point B and go back to point 1. Tighten the 2nd eye the same way.
Pull strong together and make a knot.
First attach the nose and then the safety eyes – pull them carefully through the open part of the head and
fasten them inside. After that you can finish crocheting the head:

To make the eyes a little more nicer you can glue some eyelashes on top.
To glue them on I use UHU Glue.
Bear in mind – if you glue the eyelashes in place then you should make sure they are attached well. After washing you will have to glue them again.

Sew the ears together – attach them 8 rows up from the eyes.
Embroider the eyebrows with 2-3 ST.
Mouth:

Close the sides with slst.
Sew where the mouth should be.
On the belly you can crochet stripes with slst. Insert the hook into a ST, yarn over, pull through the loop, keep crocheting slip stitches till the end. At the end cut and hide tail. Follow the pictures.
Pull the cord as shown on the picture through the spaces, take the flap and place it on the bag – pull cord through the bag and flap (you attach the flap to the bag)- For better understanding see the pictures below.
Place and sew the arms at approx. row 32-33 – on both sides.
Tail:
Chain 6, from the 2nd CH from the hook:
1.2 SC, 3 SC in 1 ST, 3 SC, 2 SC in 1 ST (12)

Crochet the sides with slst together and sew at the side (see the picture).
Sew the head right to the flap.
Sew a button in the middle.
Shoulder Straps: (make 2)
Chain 78, from the 3rd CH from the hook crochet 75 DC
2. 3 CH, (1BPdc, 1Fpdc) – till the end.
3. Change colour and crochet 75 SC.
Sew to the head and at the bottom of the bag.
